Adaptive technologies are put into place to help students with disabilities whether they be physically or mentally. These technologies help them by being able to fitting into a regular classroom setting. These kinds of technologies are helping kids everywhere succeed and give individual feedback to teachers allowing them to construct their lessons plan according to the feedback they get back. The challenges I predict with using adaptive technology is that when receiving the feedback many of the students results could be scattered, where some could know everything and some of the students not understand at all. In this case it would be hard to format your lessons plan toward the feedback because the feedback is all over the place.

Power point is a crucial tool used everyday in the classroom. Bloom’s Taxonomy has 6 major steps to it: evaluation, synthesis, analysis, application, comprehension and knowledge.
  1. Evaluation: In evaluation power point could be used to help compare ideas, or to even asses different themes or ideas.
  2. Synthesis: In synthesis power point would be a great tool when helping students when combining work, each student could do their own work and then combine it into one big presentation.
  3. Analysis: In analysis students could use power pint to help organize their thoughts and ideas to help them brainstorm.
  4. Application: Students using power point can know apply their ideas on the presentations.
  5. Comprehension: Power points can help students do some what of basic steps like to help remember or understand something in the classroom setting.
  6. Knowledge: Out of all this one may be the easiest, students can use power point to help recall information they had learned in class, if the teacher uploads her presentations after class this helps students recall what they learned during the school day.

Not only does it allow teachers to see what they think is going to work but other teachers can leave comments saying what has worked and hasn’t worked for them!

My experience with technology in the past has been fairly above average. My high school was very technology driven, we were all given Ipads instead of textbooks so I know how to work these products well. Because I was given an ipad in high school I believe I rely on technology more than others because that is how I am use to going through school. From a young age I has always loved technology and was quick to understand on how it worked.  I also have been working on programs like word, power point and excel since middle school and understand almost all they have to offer. ILP#2 (Short Story)

For this learning project I decided to make a a short story on power point. Throughout this semester we learned a lot about power point so I became very good at using this tool. One of my favorite things about power point is how easy it is to use and how you can do so many different things with it. I really enjoyed using it these past few months and can see myself using it in the future. As a teacher this educational tool is going to be very useful. I believe this tool will allow me to create more innovative lesson plans along with doing more creative interactive activities with my class, like the short story I created.
